The current structure of St Helens Parish Church is an impressive and imposing building that dominates the centre of St Helens Church Square. The building dates from 1926, when it was completed and consecrated. Designed by famous architect W. D. Caroe, a major figure in the Arts and Crafts Movement, the building replaced one which was destroyed in a fire in 1916. You can read more information about the building in our Visitors Guide which is online here. The Rotary Club of St Helens has created a Heritage Trail around the town centre, outside the church building you will find some plaques with QR codes on which will lead you to a website where you can read more about the past, present and future of St Helens Parish Church.
