The Organ in St Helens Parish Church is a three manual organ made by Harrison and Harrison of Durham. Installed in 1926, it was finally completed in 2001! The organ case was given by the Men’s bible class to mark their diamond Jubilee. It is a beautiful instrument enjoyed by musicians and congregations alike. Our organ was recently out of service for a whopping 18 months after a flood damaged the electrics. We are so grateful to Pete Barnes and his team who helped us put it back together, and Sam from Henry Willis and Sons who tuned it so we can enjoy it again. In the new year we hope to launch a series of organ recitals so watch this space!
